Our History

Boss Movers TX was founded in 2005 by Gabriel Hughes with one truck and a goal: provide affordable, safe, and clear moving services for residential clients.

Key Milestones

2005: Boss Movers TX founded by Gabriel Hughes in a single state. Focus: basic residential moves with one truck.
2006–2009: Added apartment and small office moves. Began offering labor-only help (loading/unloading). Introduced basic item protection (insurance).
2010: Added packing and unpacking services. Storage options launched (short-term only). Invested in dollies, wraps, and standard tools.
2012: Expanded to commercial clients. Grew fleet to 3 trucks. Began handling pool tables, safes, and pianos. First warehouse lease signed.
2014: Moved interstate. Added USDOT certification. Covered two states. Insurance policy upgraded (covers loss, breakage, delays).

2020: Reduced contact. Switched to digital estimates. PPE required for all crews. Drop-off storage introduced.
2021: Returned to full service. Stabilized operations. Equipment replaced across fleet. Internal claims team established.
2022: Added spa, shed, and equipment handling. Trained crews for machinery and jacuzzi moves. Reduced claim ratio to 0.4%.
2023: Added 24/7 support line. Developed internal CRM. Hired quality control lead. Storage filled to 75% capacity.
